Trezor Hardware Login®

Safe access to your hardware wallet — authenticate, verify, and transact while keeping keys offline.

How to log in with your Trezor

The hardware login flow ensures your private keys never leave the device. Follow these steps to access your wallet safely.

  1. Connect your device: Plug your Trezor into a USB port using a data-capable cable. If using an adapter, ensure it supports data transfer.
  2. Open Trezor Suite or supported app: Use the official Trezor Suite app or a verified integration that supports hardware authentication.
  3. Authorize the connection: On your computer, select the detected device and on the device screen accept the connection prompt.
  4. Enter your PIN on the device: Always type the PIN directly on the Trezor screen — never enter it on your computer keyboard. The device enforces anti-brute-force delays.
  5. Confirm transaction details on the device: For every send or key operation, verify amounts and addresses directly on the Trezor display before approving.
Tip: If you enabled a passphrase, you will be prompted for it during login — the passphrase is not transmitted anywhere and must be entered exactly as chosen.

FAQ

Can I log in without my physical Trezor?
No — hardware wallets require the physical device (or a previously restored device) to sign transactions. Your recovery seed can be used to restore on another device if necessary, but that must be done carefully and offline.
Where do I enter my PIN?
Always enter your PIN directly on the Trezor device screen. Do not reveal it to others or type it into apps or websites.
What is a passphrase?
A passphrase is an optional extra word or phrase that augments your recovery seed to create a hidden wallet. It offers stronger privacy and separation, but if lost the hidden wallet is unrecoverable.
